Referencing

Candidate Referencing services

Appointing a senior executive whose career history reveals significant deficiencies or inconsistencies can result in serious financial and reputational risk to a business. At Stone Executive, we consider comprehensive candidate referencing to be a critical part of the executive recruitment process, and every senior appointment is subject to extensive due diligence, including:

  • Confirmed verbal contact with all named referees
  • Detailed search and analysis of all online social and professional networking information
  • Informal approaches to other business contacts within our extensive professional network
  • Optional psychometric testing and skills assessment
  • Optional CCJ, bankruptcy and credit reference checks

We take a robust approach to referencing in order to maintain the high quality of our candidates and minimise the risk to our clients. We also take steps to authenticate all academic and professional qualifications, and to confirm any and all directorships.

Our findings are presented in a confidential pack which we provide for all shortlisted candidates. This not only establishes each individual’s credentials but can also provide valuable insight into their career history, management style and previous successes.

Stone Executive’s referencing service supports our core head hunting function, and the service is also available as a standalone solution for clients who may be considering candidates introduced by another party.

To learn more about our candidate referencing service, please contact our team on 0333 800 1560.
