The Role

Our client is a well-respected engineering integrated consultancy that supports a number of clients with their engineering consulting solutions. Established for the last 40 years, our client has grown to become one of the UKs leading engineering consultancies that support several clients across four key business areas.

Due to continued expansion across one of their divisional businesses, our client is now looking to appoint an experienced Director to oversee the continued growth of their recruitment division, which plays an integral role in supporting the wider company with their technical recruitment needs, whilst helping to identify and secure new business opportunities from external clients operating across the Engineering, Energy, Manufacturing and Construction-related industries. The role will naturally form part of the companies SMT and will report directly into the Vice-Chairman.

Due to continued growth plans, our client would be looking for somebody with a strong sense of career mobility and would certainly expect the successful post holder to be able to assume a much more senior directorship as the company continues to enjoy tremendous levels of business growth.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will already be working for a well-respected recruitment company now, preferably with a strong understanding of managing technical recruitment solutions to the Construction, Engineering, Energy, or similar technical-related sectors. Alternatively, candidates could also be working in-house for another similar engineering or technical consultancy, and therefore will be familiar with servicing the recruitment needs of the wider company, whilst having the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities from external clients.

In addition to this, candidates will need to have the ability to manage and lead a team of recruitment professionals to work at their highest levels, helping them to identify new areas of business growth in line with wider company objectives. The ideal candidate should be familiar with building and developing strong client relationships within major contract recruitment, with a strong focus on providing the highest quality of recruitment service to ensure repeat business. Candidates will be effective communicators, considered decision-makers, and use to work with or within a company with a strong engineering and consultancy solutions approach.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated, although a strong and proven track-record within a similar field would always be considered more desirable.
