The Role

Our client, a well-respected, privately owned social care provider to the residential elderly care sector, is now looking to appoint an experienced Operations Director to oversee a number of residential and community care services across the West Sussex region. 

The sucessful candidate will oversee both the care and commercial functions of the company, which will involve overseeing a number of Registered Managers across a portfolio of residential care services, together with assuming full functional responsibility for areas such as; HR, Sales & Marketing, Health & Safety, together will holding full P & L. The role will form part of the senior management team, and will report directly into the owners of the company. 

Due to continued growth plans, our client would be looking for somebody with a strong sense of career mobility, and would expect the candidate to able to assume a much larger Operational or even Chief Executive appointment in the medium term. 

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be already working for another well-respected Health & social care provider at the moment, either within a Regional or Operational Management capacity, or alternatively, could be running a large independent inpatient or residential service, and would see this as a chance to work across a portofilio of care services. 

The successful candidate will possess strong care and commercial acumen, and have relevant experience of overseeing a residential care or independent healthcare service in terms of  assuming full functional responsibility for the running of that business. Candidates will be passionate about improving the quality of residential and community live-in care, with experience of helping a similar care business to increase occupancy whilst maintaining the highest standards of care delivery. In addition to this, candidates will have experience of overseeing Managers and care staff, although this doesnt necessarily need to be within elderly care. 

The ideal candidate will have a real passion for delivering outstanding levels of care,  adopting personalised-centred care at the core of their decision-making.
