Ref: se04028
The Role

Our client are one of the Uks leading manufactures of consumer goods protective equipment. They have been established for over 100 years, and are synonymous with products of the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship, each still handmade in the UK.

Due to continued growth plans, our client is now looking to appoint an experienced industry professional to oversee the day to running of the company, providing strategic direction, whilst identifying new areas of growth potential both across the UK, as well as exploring international expansion opportunities. The Chief Executive will oversee 10 members of staff within a senior management capacity, will oversee manufacturing and production operations, and will work closely with the owner of the company and Chairman to deliver and exceed company growth objectives.

Our client would be looking for somebody with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track-record of helping a similar company to increase market share, whilst ensuring that quality of product still remains its number one priority. The successful candidate will be offered equity status in the company and will benefit from a long-term incentive plan.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will already be working within a senior Management capacity at the moment, either demonstrated within the field of  Consumer Goods, Plastics, or Textile manufacturing, although candidates from across the wider industrial manufacturing sector will be still considered relevant.

The successful candidate will preferably have worked within a low volume, high-quality manufacturing environment, and will have experience of overseeing functional management and production teams collaboratively, whilst still maintaining a 'hands on' leadership style of management. Candidates will have a good understanding of running a manufacturing company, or large manufacturing department in terms of P & L accountability, and should possess strong commercial acumen and attention to detail. In addition to this, candidates who have a solid understanding of the procurement and supply chain function would be desirable.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience demonstrated within a similar manufacturing environment, and will have a proven track-record of autonomously overseeing a quality driven manufacturing process with a strong track-record of business growth.
