General Manager - Health & Social Care - Private Healthcare (Neurological Care)

Our client is a well-respected, privately owned healthcare provider, operating a portfolio of services to the neurological and adult mental health sector. They are now looking to appoint an experienced General Manager to oversee a large residential neurological complex, which supports the elderly and adult mental health service users. 

The role will oversee two deputy managers, and will form part of the senior management team, reporting directly to the Operations Director. The role will assume full operational responsibility for the service, with particular emphasis placed on exceeding strong clinical outcomes, and maintaining the company's strong reputation for delivery of exceptional healthcare. 

Due to continued growth plans, our client would be looking for a candidate with a strong sense of upward career mobility, and the chance to move into a deputy Operational Director role would exist for the right candidate in the short to medium term. 

The ideal candidate will have strong General Management experience, either demonstrated for another Health or Social Care provider, preferably with experience of working with service users with complex neurological or mental health-related conditions. 

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, and will have been the Registered Manager of another 60 + Bedded hospital or residential care service, or have been the Deputy Manager in a similar sized or larger facility looking to step up into a more senior role.  Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have experience of developing robust staff rotas to improve effective clinical delivery, together with strong healthcare commercial acumen. 

Candidates will be RMN or RGN qualified.
