Due to additional funding, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Consultant within Elderly Care to work across the department. The role will involve overseeing a case load of patients within both an inpatient, and outpatient setting, reporting directly to the clinical lead for the service. In addition to this, the Consultant will have opportuntiies to specialise within different areas of elderly care, but particularly, if somebody had expertise, or a special interest within nursing and residential services, or community eldery care, that would be of particular interest to our client. the ideal candidate will already be working within a Consultant capacity at the moment for another well-respected NHS healthcare provider. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will have experience of workinng with elderly care patients within both an inpatient and outpatient setting, and will be committed on helping to develop and improve the level of service elderly care patients recieve. Furthermore, candidate with a special interest in providing elderly care within a nursing & residential care setting, or those patients who have suffered severe injuries through falls, would also be of significant interest in helping our client to further strengthen their consultant team with this additional expertise. Candidates should have at least 5 years + experience at Consultant level, although, consideration will be given to those younger doctors looking for their first substantive appointment.
