Managing Director - Health & Social Care - Residential & Specialist Care

Location UK - North & Scotland
Salary circa £100k Basic + Bonus
The Role
The Candidate

Our client is one of the most experienced providers of residential care for adults requiring bespoke placements across multiple specialist services in the UK. Due to continued growth plans, they are now looking to appoint an experienced operational leader as Managing Director, to drive the company's regional growth strategy for the North and Scotland.

The role will involve overseeing a number of residential and specialist care services across the North of the UK, for adult service users with Learning Disabilities and Mental Illness and complex needs. The Manging Director will ensure exceptional levels of care and support  have been achieved, together will holding full P & L accountability for the region's portfolio of care services. The role will involve the management of residential and operational staff, and will form part of the senior management team.

The successful candidate will be expected to identify new residential services/sites to help facilitate future growth, and will be actively involved in helping the owner of the company to drive business forward over the next 5 years to achieve its growth objectives. As a result of this continued expansion, the successful post holder will also have the opportunity to assume a wider managerial role in the short to medium term.

The ideal candidate will already be working within a senior Operational or Director level position at the moment, preferably demonstrated within the residential and specialist care sector. Furthermore, candidates will have a proven track-record of helping another provider to identify new business opportunities, either through organic or potential acquisition expansion, and will have excellent man management and leadership skills.

The successful candidate must possess drive and determination to excel, and have the ability to inspire others to achieve the same level of excellence. The successful post holder must have strong connections with midlands-based local authorities and commissioning bodies, with the ability to communicate effectively with a number of stakeholders.
